Sierra Design Studios is a custom CAD/CAM design and manufacturing company specializing in Contemporary Jewelry Design. We offer CAD, prototyping, mold-making and casting services to assist clients with both custom design and full product line development projects. We are a collaborative union of two independent enterprises; Sierra CAD & Sierra Molds. We make a variety of products including jewelry, tableware, small industrial parts and small sculpture. Sierra CAD utilizes Matrix & Rhino software to create 3-D models. We work with your sketches, photos, or ideas to create a 3-D model to your exact specifications. Once you are satisfied with your model, it will be “out-put” to a CAM device that creates an accurate prototype of your piece. Your prototype is then ready for molding or casting.

Sierra Molds offers molding services and model and sample casting. We cast models and samples in sterling silver. We make a variety of mold types, including vulcanized and RTV (room temperature vulcanization), and can help you determine what will be the best kind of mold for your particular project. We can mold your wax prototype, or cast it in sterling silver prior to molding, depending on the nature of your model.
